Nexus Creative Prize Winner Announced for 2022
Nexus Creative Limited is pleased to announce the 2021/2022 Winner of the Nexus Creative Prize for Outstanding Performance in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations is Valentyna Sturzova.
Valentyna achieved a First-Class BA (Hons) in her four-year degree course in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Worcester. She was awarded the coveted Nexus Creative prize as part of the University’s Graduation celebrations in October.
Valentyna said of her accolade;
"Firstly, I would like to say that I am incredibly grateful that Nexus recognises students' effort and commitment.
Even though my time at Worcester University has been a great experience, there were definitely challenging moments for all of us; especially when considering that half of our studies were disturbed by the pandemic.
Moreover, it was all the more difficult from the point of view of an international student. That said, it's a huge honour for me to be a winner of the Nexus Prize and see that it pays to persevere despite challenging times. I believe that marketing is an absolute necessity nowadays and it can provide you with a great stepping stone to countless fields.”
The award, which Nexus Creative have been sponsoring for the past 9 years, is awarded to a final year student from one of the University of Worcester’s five marketing-based degree courses covering all creative disciplines.
Valentyna was chosen from around 100 marketing students to receive the industry award. The selection criteria for candidates is based on the highest profile of grades submitted to the Examination Board demonstrating an outstanding level of both commitment, and academic performance during the course.
Nexus Managing Director, Nigel Harte, attended the University’s Graduation Celebration dinner on 31st October, held at the city’s main campus to present the award to Valentyna.
Nigel comments;
“Nexus are delighted to continue to sponsor this important award to celebrate excellence in marketing. The outstanding level of talent and ambition that the students have continues to amaze me and working with the University of Worcester and be involved with this course is very rewarding.
We wish Valentyna much success as she embarks on the next stage of her studies, no doubt she will enjoy a bright future ahead.”
Since her graduation, Valentyna has moved to continue her studies in Newcastle at Northumbria University to undertake an MA in Creative and Cultural Management specialising in music events and festival planning.
